Darc House Collectibles did not start as a blog. It started as a resale business.
In early 2025 we launched as a reseller for games, figures, VHS tapes, vintage shirts, horror collectibles. Over our first year we made over 500 sales with five star ratings across the board. By most measures it was a success.
But nobody tells you the hardest part about reselling. It is not finding the inventory. It is not the shipping or the fees or the competition. The hardest part is not being able to keep anything.
Vintage PlayStation games you grew up playing. Movies you used to stay up watching while everyone else in the house was asleep. Things that meant something. You run across them, you get excited, and then you flip them the next day for a few extra dollars. Over and over again.
The final straw was a Pennywise Sideshow 1/6th scale figure. One of the most impressive pieces we had ever come across. Gone for a few hundred dollars. Not worth it.
That moment is what changed everything.
We started asking ourselves why we were selling the things we actually loved just to stay in the resale game. The answer was that we did not have to. So we stopped.
Darc House Collectibles has slowly transitioned from a resale operation into something we actually believe in. A place for horror collectors who feel the same way we do. People who understand that a VHS tape is not just a format. It is a memory. A Blu-ray is not just a disc. It is the definitive version of something that matters to you. A figure on your shelf is not just plastic. It is a piece of the thing you love most.

Honest opinions on what is worth owning, what is worth hunting for and what is worth passing on. We are building toward a full store because we believe the best collections are built by people who actually know what they are talking about.
